This 20-hour class is the first step towards being a proficient SolidWorks user. The focus will be on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the use of SolidWorks in a real world engineering environment. The topics covered will include: common part design, assembly creation, and drawing generation. Students with knowledge of other 3D solid modeling software will learn how to apply that knowledge to SolidWorks. Prerequisites: working knowledge of Windows and an understanding of engineering design principles.
