Since September 1962, South Shore Vocational Technical High School has been welcoming students who are interested in pursuing a well-rounded, rigorous education that includes technical career preparation. Pride in vocational education remains strong today.

Our school community strives to support a safe, inclusive school environment, where students prepare for a successful post-secondary transition. With a focus on rigor and relevance, based on Common Core standards and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, we educate each student in preparation for their future success.

In addition, we seek to personalize our education for each student with the co-curricular offerings of Cooperative Education, Skills USA, Business Professionals of America, Credit for Life and OSHA. We support extra-curricular offerings including a comprehensive athletics program for boys and girls, a drama program, and a variety of clubs. Our graduates leave our school well prepared to begin careers in licensed trades, in specialized fields of study, and in post-secondary educational settings.

Our school mission challenges us to immerse our students in technical, academic, and social experiences that will allow all students to graduate with the skills necessary for a successful post-secondary transition. With self-awareness, civic-mindedness, and a sense of independence, our students prepare to compete in career pathways and college options.
